Sarah focuses on mindfulness/meditation practices for teenagers or young adults. This is a mental training practice that involves focusing your mind on your experiences (like your own emotions, thoughts, and sensations) in the present moment. Through these short practices that involve breathing practice, mental imagery, awareness of body and mind, and body relaxation; this will deepen ourselves on our mindful journey.
Meditation or Mindfulness unlocks your inner self. Connecting with the essence of you, it will relieve you of your external pressures. Meditation is the way to finding your ‘sweet spot’, staying in the present, you will find contentment. Finding the best internal ‘you’ means strengthening your interaction with the external world as well. Stress is the anti-meditation, preventing us from enjoying the simple things in life, like happiness.
Our first goal at ConnecTeen Minds is to reduce stress and anxiety. Our second goal is to create connections and to learn from one another. It is important to remember every day that our mind is our most powerful tool. It is important that we take care of our being and look inward, through the calm of meditation, to become our best selves. Meditation gives us the ability to surpass individual limits and maximize our capacity. Even if it means only practicing for 5 minutes a day. Take your first step and listen to one of the short guided meditation audios below.
